Andrea Moore

Regional Manager, International Trade Development & ICT Industry Specialist, Enterprise Florida, Inc.

Andrea Moore heads up the Pensacola field office of Enterprise Florida’s (EFI) International Trade and Development Division (ITD). She also serves as the ICT-Computer Industry Specialist for the division.

Since 2006, as a regional manager for trade and business development in Northwest Florida, she has helped companies export their products and services to foreign markets, and marketing the State of Florida as a desirable business location and target for foreign direct investment (FDI). She provides export counseling to manufacturers, export intermediaries and service companies, including research support and information on the best channels of distribution, baseline legal, export finance and logistics requirements. She works closely with the local economic development executives in 16 counties, regional economic and workforce development entities, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and other multipliers and outliers supporting export promotion and FDI, coordinates the participation of ICT companies in global trade shows, and assists with the planning and execution of trade missions.

Prior to joining Enterprise Florida, Andrea served as director of marketing and communication for the regional economic development non-profit Florida’s Great Northwest. In that capacity, she handled trade show and project management support, strategy development, collateral and event production, direct mail campaigns, PR, and web-related marketing.  Andrea was on the project Team for Project Raven, which brought a 1,000,000 sq. ft. Family Dollar distribution center to Northwest Florida as well as for Project Pellets, which sited the world’s largest wood pellets manufacturing facilities in the region.   

Andrea is a journalist by training, with a background in print and television news.  From 1997 to 2001, she served as news producer for WEAR-TV3, an ABC affiliate in Pensacola, producing daily newscasts and special features, including hurricane coverage and a three-hour live town hall meeting on education. Prior to moving to Northwest Florida in 1995, she ran a travel office in Aviano, Italy.

Andrea completed her undergraduate work in English and Political Science at the University of Erlangen, Germany, and holds a M.A. in American Studies with a specialization in Mass Communication from the University of Maryland, College Park.  She has completed specialized training on export controls, technology controls and ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) through the U.S. Department of Commerce, the federal Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee (TPCC) interagency officer training, the International Trade Certificate Program, the complete economic development coursework by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), and advanced training in technical writing and problem solving.  She is fluent in German and Italian, proficient in French and is a continuing student of Spanish.

Andrea enjoys distance running, triathlons and kayaking. In 2017, she became an Ironman (triathlon).
