David is the President of Conexión Media Group (CMG). CMG’s mission is to be a bridge between Hispanic and Non-Hispanic entities in the region. He moved to Navarre in 2004 and managed the first-ever Hispanic newspaper in that area, La Voz Del Latino, from 2005 – 2007. Along with his partner, Mr. Donald Whitney, a retired businessman, they launched CMG in 2014. CMG is composed of four elements: 1. The monthly bilingual publication Conexion, the largest of its kind in North Florida; 2. MAKING CONNECTIONS, a bilingual monthly interview show broadcast via YOUTUBE, ROKU/Amazon Fire and Emerald Coast TV; 3. The HISPANICS and FRIENDS LINKed Business Networking Group – conducts socials and activities regionally; 4. Community Wide event organizing such as the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL Fort Walton Beach, the UNITY GALA, and others.
David is a licensed Air Traffic Controller (ATC) and served for 21 years throughout the world. His duties included several ATC assignments in foreign nations to include Spain, Honduras, Egypt and Korea. Due to his Spanish fluency, he served as a liaison to nations in the Caribbean, Central and South America representing the Air Force and traveled to most countries in that region to meet with military and civilian national aviation authorities on related matters.
He is also the co-founder of United for a Good Cause Inc., a 501c3 charitable organization whose mission is to “promote the spirit of service, giving and unity among the area’s youth.” United for a Good Cause Inc. has founded three main signature events in the NW Florida area including the annual Youth Leadership Conference (6h year), Hispanic Fest (6rd year), and the Emerald Coast Christmas Miracle Needy Children’s Fiesta (15th year). The organization is also helping implement the HOPE SQUAD Teen Suicide Prevention Program in Okaloosa County Public schools.
