Dedria is the Director of Purchasing at Northwest Florida State College. Over the twenty-six years she has been employed at formerly Okaloosa-Walton Community College, Okaloosa-Walton College, and now Northwest Florida State College, she has held positions of increasing levels of responsibility, having started as Coordinator of Fort Walton Beach Campus, Business Office Manager, and then Accountant, before being promoted to Director of Purchasing.
As the Director of Purchasing. Dedria is responsible for oversight of the Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing Cards, and managing the staff. Areas of spend activity include the purchase of Equipment and Supplies, Office Equipment, Contracted Services, and other operational supplies to support the College in its educational mission. Dedria performs Invitation To Bid and Request for Proposal activity for products, technology, contracted services, and construction bidding.
Dedria first earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Southern University at New Orleans, followed by a Master of Science from Troy State University, and finally an Education Specialist – Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida. She has been recognized by the American Purchasing Society as a Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) in 2015, Certified Purchasing Professional Manager (CPPM) in 2015, and Certified Green Purchasing Professional (CGPP) in 2018.
